Frequently asked questions.
Support: info@neverfoundaudio.com
Who is Kerf for?
Creators, brands and agencies that publish video, from Reels and Shorts to long-form YouTube.
Which systems are supported?
Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), and macOS 13 or later on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later). Macs with an Intel processor aren’t supported at the moment.
Windows says it protected my PC?
Kerf is new, so Windows SmartScreen may not know it yet and shows “Windows protected your PC” on the first start. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Which formats can I import and export?
Common video, audio and image files. Kerf exports MP4 (H.264, AAC) at up to 60 fps, and timelines to Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro.
Is my footage uploaded?
No. Kerf edits on your computer; nothing is uploaded. The only exception is a problem report you send yourself (F7), which can include a screenshot of Kerf’s window. When you use Claude, Claude receives the frames and text it works with.
Do I need Claude?
No. Every feature works without it, the Assist Bar included. Claude requires Claude Code or the Claude app.
How do I cancel?
From your account page, under Manage subscription. Kerf stays active until the end of the paid period.
